Cleaning Chrome

Hi Everybody,
Although this is a very short simple tip, we feel the need to share because so many ask, "How do I clean chrome?" Well, here are some very easy quick steps to turn your old rusty pitted chrome into brilliant sparkling envy. You will need these three household items - Windex (or denatured alcohol), bag of grade 000 (fine) or grade 0000 (super fine) steel wool, and a roll of quality brand paper towels. Simply squirt Windex or denatured alcohol directly into your steel wool bad and then rub away!! You will not harm the chrome with these grades of steel wool, but do make sure that it is chrome that you are rubbing. This step is going to leave a rusty/whitish film on the chrome because you have just removed all of the old rust, dirt,, grime, etc. For the final step is use the Windex or denatured alcohol and paper towels. Simply clean as you would a window. Tip = Do not over use Windex!! , only a light spray is required. Repeat until you get all the film off. Use blue tape to carefully tape off any wood or upholstery which requires protection. It is amazing what can me accomplished on old metal chrome with a nominal amount of time and effort. Now you have your shine on! Eddy
